Morning
Our second day begins with a 6-km trek through the stunning Muong Hoa Valley. This valley is renowned for its beauty, with towering mountains and endless rice terraces. We’ll visit the Black Hmong community in Y Linh Ho, where you’ll have the chance to learn about their unique traditions and way of life. The Black Hmong people are known for their intricate handicrafts and vibrant clothing, and I’ll introduce you to some of the artisans as we explore the village.
Next, we’ll hike 1 km to Lao Chai Village, a picturesque settlement nestled among mesmerizing terraced rice fields. Here, you can take in the breathtaking scenery and witness the impressive agricultural craftsmanship of the local people. Every turn of the trail offers a new and stunning view, and I’ll be there to point out the hidden gems along the way.
Our journey continues to the charming Ta Van Village, home to the Dzay ethnic group. Upon arrival, you can explore the village’s unique wooden stilt houses and learn about their traditional customs. I’ll share stories about the Dzay people, their history, and their cultural practices as we walk through the village.
Afternoon
After a delightful lunch with a local family, we’ll have more time to discover the daily life, unique traditions, and distinctive architecture of the friendly residents. This intimate experience offers a deep dive into the lives of the Dzay people and the opportunity to ask questions and engage with them directly.
Later in the afternoon, we’ll board a jeep or minivan for the return journey to Sapa, where our tour concludes.
