How Many Days Do You Need for a Ha Giang Tour?

Hello everyone, I’m CHUCHU, an experienced tour guide from Hagiang Trekking Tour. Today, I’m excited to sit down and share with you a question that many travelers often ask: “How many days do you need for a Ha Giang tour?”

Starting the Journey – Dong Van, Meo Vac

If you have limited time, I recommend spending at least 3 days and 2 nights to explore the most famous landmarks of Ha Giang. For instance, you can start your journey from Hanoi in the evening, so you arrive in Ha Giang early the next morning, ready for a full day of exploration.

On the first day, we’ll travel from Ha Giang city to Dong Van, a place known for its ancient houses along narrow streets. On the way, you’ll have the chance to admire Bac Sum Slope, a winding slope that is characteristic of the northern mountainous region. When you reach Dong Van Ancient Town, you can’t miss the cultural imprints of the Hmong people.

In the afternoon, we continue to explore Ma Pi Leng Pass, one of the “Four Great Passes” in Vietnam. This is not only a magnificent route but also holds historical stories from the early days of territorial expansion. The sharp cat-ear rocks, winding mountain roads, all create a breathtaking landscape that you can only find in Ha Giang.

In the evening, at Meo Vac, you can enjoy traditional dishes like thang co, cắp nách pork, and gaze at the town from above.

The Second Day – Exploring Culture and Nature

On the second day, spend time diving deeper into the culture of the local ethnic groups through the highland markets. If you’re lucky, you can attend the Meo Vac Market, where the unique products of the Hmong and Dao people are showcased. The sounds of traditional instruments and the intricate brocade items will captivate you.

In the afternoon, we’ll move to Quan Ba to visit Twin Mountains, the symbol of Quan Ba, associated with legendary stories of love and sacrifice. Not only a unique natural wonder, but Twin Mountains is also a cultural highlight of this land.

The Last Day – Visiting Cultural Villages and Returning

On the third day, before returning, we’ll visit the cultural village of Lung Cam in Sung La Valley – the backdrop of the famous film “The Story of Pao”. This is the village of the Lo Lo people, with ancient earthen houses and harmonious natural landscapes, creating a peaceful and serene environment.

Ending the journey, you can return to Hanoi with many beautiful memories and a heart full of love for Ha Giang.

Consider Spending More Time

However, if you have more time, I encourage you to spend 5 days and 4 nights to delve deeper into Ha Giang. With this itinerary, you’ll have more time to visit Noong Lake, a picturesque lake nestled in the mountains, or embark on an exciting trekking trip in the Dong Van Karst Plateau with dedicated guidance from Hagiang Trekking Tour.

No matter which journey you choose, I am confident that Ha Giang will leave you with unforgettable impressions. With each step, you not only explore the majestic nature but also gain a deeper understanding of the rich history and culture of this land.

Let Hagiang Trekking Tour be your companion in conquering and exploring Ha Giang, so that each trip is not just an experience but a beautiful story in your life.
