2-Day Adventure: Ban Gioc Waterfall, Mount Angel Eye, and Valley Hike

Start your day with a hearty breakfast before departing Cao Bang City. Your first stop is the unique Incense Village, where you will see families crafting incense, a tradition passed down for generations. Continue to Dia Tren Paper Village, where you might witness the production of traditional paper from the "Duong" tree, used in spiritual ceremonies, decoration, and calligraphy.
Next, visit Phuc Sen Forging Village, where skilled craftsmen create high-quality tools like knives, scissors, and sickles using age-old techniques. After exploring these craft villages, head to Dam Thuy commune for a delicious lunch.
Post-lunch, explore the spectacular Nguom Ngao Cave, also known as Tiger Cave. Be mesmerized by the cave's intricate limestone formations and various chambers. The cave’s stalactites and stalagmites resemble coral reefs, ships, waterfalls, lotus flowers, and terraced fields, offering a magnificent sight.
Proceed to Khuoi Ky Village, check in at a local homestay, and enjoy a traditional dinner. Spend the night in this serene village, experiencing the warm hospitality of the local family. (Meals: Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner)

After breakfast, bid farewell to your homestay family and head to Ban Gioc Waterfall, the fourth largest transnational waterfall on earth, straddling the border between Vietnam and China. This breathtaking sight is a highlight of Cao Bang.
Next, visit the Truc Lam Ban Gioc Buddhist Temple, located just 500 meters from the waterfall. Perched on Phia Nham Mountain, the temple offers stunning views of the valley and the Chinese border.
Continue to Ngoc Con Valley, where you will embark on a scenic hike to an amazing viewpoint. The valley features impressive mountains, expansive rice fields, picturesque minority villages, and a tranquil river, creating a postcard-perfect landscape.
Drive through Phong Nam Valley to Trung Khanh Town for a delightful lunch. Afterward, visit Mount Angel’s Eye Valley, also known as Núi Thủng. This unique mountain, with its through-going hole, stands 50 meters in diameter and 50 meters above the ground. Located within the Non Nước Cao Bằng UNESCO Global Geopark, the valley features charming landscapes with grasslands in the dry season and green lakes in the rainy season.
